Registration deadline is 1 week prior to the beginning of each class.   Classes may be cancelled if there are not enough registrations to have an effective class.

Your paid registration secures your seat in the class.   If student cancels more than one week prior to the class, store credit or a refund will be given.   If student cancels less than one week prior to the class, there will be no refund of the class fee.   If Quilting Quarters cancels a class, we will refund your registration fee or transfer you to another class of your choosing.


  • All classes will be held at Quilting Quarters.  
  • Participants should bring their own sewing machines unless prior arrangements are made for a loaner machine. 
  • As a courtesy to others, please limit snack foods and drinks to those that can be consumed quietly and with minimal disruption to the class.
  • Please arrive a few minutes early and be set-up and ready to begin at the posted time.
A rainbow of richly-colored batiks accentuated by a couple of "very" black batiks, this beautiful quilt has fairly simple piecing to showcase the appliqued motifs - leaf-like droplets and paisley shapes.

In this all-day class we will learn to easily piece curves using the Quick Curves Ruler.

With this two-session class the student will learn about various binding techniques used to create beautiful finishes to your quilts.

The "Tarnished Star" quilt top features "Mariner's Star" blocks in multiple sizes-all pieced with no paper piecing-using the "Fat Robin" method of strip piecing and trimming with special rulers.

The student will learn the basics of free-motion quilting, to include hand placement, posture, machine tension adjustment & stitch length.

In this 4-session class, participants will complete a small quilt project from start to finish. Skills covered (and practiced) include cutting, sewing accurate quarter-inch seams, adding borders, simple machine quilting with a walking foot(you bring your own machine to class), and binding the quilt with double fold binding. Supply list available with class registration.

Students will learn basic sewing machine use and care, and will learn beginning sewing skills while creating a simple project.
