Beginning Quilting -- Nine-Patch Variation Quilt
Participants must commit to attend all four sessions of this class. In addition, there will be a pre-class one-hour appointment for the instructor to assist you with your sewing machine orientation and preparation for the class.
If you have ever wanted to make a quilt, but weren't sure where to start, this class will take away the mystery. The Nine Patch Variation Quilt is a wonderful project for beginning quilters and those who would like to refresh their skills.
Learn to make a quilt from start to finish in just 4 weeks using your domestic sewing machine.
- Learn to use a rotary cutter, acrylic ruler and mat to cut fabrics
- Accurately use a quarter-inch presser foot on your sewing machine
- Sew on borders that lie flat
- Use a walking foot for machine quilting
- Finish your quilt with double-fold binding.

| Requirements: | Basic sewing skills are a prerequisite. Quilting Quarters offers a beginning sewing class for those who may need to learn those basics. Students should schedule an appointment with Cathy or Margaret prior to the beginning of class for machine orientation and preparation. Students must commit to attending orientation and all four sessions of the class. |
