Beginning Sewing I



Students will make a standard-size pillowcase in this class using their domestic sewing machine.  In the process, skills taught will include basic sewing machine use and care, fabric cutting with a rotary cutter & ruler, sewing of seams, and pressing skills. Sewing machines are available to reserve for use in class.

Students age 10-16 are welcomed, but must be accompanied by a supervising adult.  Supervising adults do not pay an additional class fee.   If sewing, fee payment is expected. Please contact the shop for more information and a supply list.

Requirements: Stop by the shop or email us at askus@quiltingquarters.net for a supply list. Plan to bring your own sewing machine in good working order. If you need to borrow a machine, please make prior arrangements.
Instructor: Linda Kiefer
Instructor Bio: Linda has worked at Quilting Quarters for over 2 years. She is a San Angelo native. She has sewn since an early age and has been piecing and quilting quilts for over 30 years.
