T-Shirt Quilts

If you have a stack of t-shirts that have special meaning and don’t know what to do with them, a t-shirt quilt may be the answer. The finished quilt will bring back memories with each use.  You will need a minimum of 20 shirts for a throw.  If you wish a bigger quilt it just takes more shirts. Do not cut your shirts before class. Class seating is limited; your registration will reserve your seat in class.

Requirements: Supplies needed: Minimum of 20 T-Shirts Sewing machine and thread 12-1/2 or 15-1/2 inch square ruler stabilizer (ask the staff at QQ!) Rotary cutter Fabric for sashing and borders -- you will get pointers in class regarding selection and amount.
Instructor: Beverly Nevins
Instructor Bio: Beverly is a retired Home Economics teacher. She spent her last 25 years prior to retirement at Lakeview High School. Her first love is quilting and sewing, but she admits to also being a little mad for Mahjongg. She likes all types of quilting but always seems to go back to traditional patterns. Her passion for quilting is contagious, and she loves helping others grow into the hobby and sharing all her hints and tricks for successful sewing.
